We, Brazilian cattle ranchers, are ready. We have already made our commitments to sustainability, transparency and climate responsibility. A new era of tropical cattle ranching has begun. But it cannot move forward alone. We need public and private partners who are willing to do their part.

What we ask of government:

• Legal certainty for producers who comply with the law, through full implementation of Brazil's Forest Code and timely review and validation of the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR).
• Infrastructure that supports competitiveness, including roads, energy and connectivity that reduce costs and risks for sustainable producers.
• Public policies that encourage good practices, with accessible credit, quality technical assistance and support for pasture restoration, integrated crop-livestock-forestry systems (ILPF) and low-carbon production systems.
• Recognition of our climate contribution, with fair emissions metrics and the inclusion of carbon removals in official inventories.
• Incentives for those who conserve beyond legal requirements, recognizing the economic value of areas that could legally be cleared through payments for environmental services and access to carbon markets.
• Traceability as a foundational public policy, with investment in interoperable platforms and technical support to ensure broad, reliable adoption nationwide.
• Institutional support for agriculture's reputation, with active government efforts to promote the credibility of tropical cattle ranching in Brazil and internationally.
• Firm action against illegal practices, with enforcement measures to combat land grabbing, illegal deforestation and fraud that damage the sector's reputation.
• Sustained investment in science and innovation, strengthening Embrapa and universities, with a focus on technologies adapted to Brazil's biomes.

What we ask of markets:

• Fair and proportionate criteria, with requirements adapted to tropical conditions and respect for different production pathways.
• Premium prices for those who do the right thing, rewarding traceable, certified products with a lower environmental impact.
• Technically and economically viable traceability, through partnerships that enable efficient systems without passing unsustainable costs on to producers.
• Incentives for those who choose conservation, recognizing the value of areas kept intact even when they could legally be cleared.
• Financing for the production transition, with direct support for regenerative technologies, low-carbon practices and improvements in the climate performance of production.
• A commitment to defending the sector's reputation through positive communication, campaigns that highlight the value of tropical beef and efforts to combat misinformation in markets.
• The development of reliable, transparent markets, with clear, traceable metrics aligned with international protocols.

Brazilian tropical cattle ranching has already taken many steps toward sustainability.

Now is the time to move forward together. Everyone has an essential role in building a virtuous cycle that benefits producers, consumers, the environment and the country.

When government, markets and rural producers work together, we create real opportunities for responsible growth. We ensure safe food, generate value for responsible producers, protect our biomes and strengthen Brazil's position in the world.
